PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant, Running Rehab Specialist

Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter. – Yoda

An Arkansas native, I grew up in central Arkansas before attending Arkansas State University to pursue a Bachelors in Exercise Science, followed by the PTA program. I then moved to Northwest Arkansas (woo pig!) & spent a wonderful decade soaking up what NWA has to offer—mostly hiking, biking, & running on the great trail systems!

I have 10 years of experience in the therapy world. When I was in school, I thought I wanted to work with kids, so my first job after graduation was in a pediatric therapy clinic. It was lots of fun, but those 5-year-olds really gave me a run for my money! After about 3 years, I found my groove in an outpatient rehab setting & haven’t wanted to work with any other patient population since. I especially love working with runners & teaching patients of all ages/fitness levels the benefits of strength training. One of the most beneficial parts of this job is seeing people become empowered by getting under a barbell!

My faith; authentic connection (skip the surface-level stuff!); hospitality (I want everyone to feel seen & welcomed—whether you’re at my house for dinner, or if you’re nervous about PT, or if it’s your first time at a run club & you don’t know anyone yet—I’ll see you there & I’ll run with you!)

I want to help runners run better! I specialize in running analysis and enjoy treating running-related injuries like patellofemoral pain or plantar fasciitis.

When I am not working, I enjoy running, hiking/backpacking, cooking (especially vegetarian dishes or baking sweet treats to share with my friends), and trying out local breweries to enjoy an IPA & play cards.

I love movies like Star Wars and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, shows like The Office and Severance, books such as A Man Called Ove and Catcher in the Rye, and I enjoy listening to the podcast Armchair Expert.
